A new report from The Lancet finds that from neonatal care — to primary care — to emergency medicine, children from racial and ethnic minorities face disparities in the quality of care they receive.
While this is devastating news, how can we be surprised? We know adults of color get worse care across the board. We know that women of color, especially Black women, die three times more than their white counterparts while giving birth in America, regardless of income or education.
The American healthcare system is broken for everyone but people of color and our children pay the highest price. I went on Scripps News to discuss in what is my first on-air interview in well over a year.
