Elon Musk is a Deadbeat Dad
Shocker. I know.
“I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation.”
Those are words from the urgent message that Grimes, the mother of 3 of Elon Musk’s children, posted on X as a last resort to get in touch with him.
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” Grimes pleads. “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone…This is urgent, Elon.”
Remember when Republicans were the party of family values? Now we have a pseudo-shadow president who doesn’t even care if one of his various children need medical help. Can we imagine the reaction if a woman in Musk’s position— or just a woman period— was this kind of parent? No, we cannot. We would never allow a woman to get away with this level of bad parenting and negligence.
But not when it comes to Elon! In the face of Trump and Musk’s blatant misogyny, we need to ask ourselves just why we expect so much more from women and so little from men. Always and in all ways. Will we ever stop?
