Throwback to this blast from the past! Here’s me on my very first CNN appearance in 2015 with then anchor, Carol Costello. This segment was completely unplanned and I had no idea what I was doing. I took the 6AM train from DC to NYC and did this conversation live. CNN’s Carol Costello was my earliest and first supporter during my TV days! She booked me on her CNN show all the time and changed my career.
Here we talk about what it’s like to be a Muslim woman in the world today. This was 11 years ago! The more things change, the more they stay the same. Especially if you’re a Muslim woman (still) being asked to speak for everyone.
